Egyra Foods is the food and FMCG arm of Egyra. We’re developing Egyptian food brands for everyday life, starting with packaged cakes.

About the role

You'll be the first HR hire at a new factory. You'll build the team from day one: hiring the people on the line, getting them onboarded and trained, and keeping every file, contract and record in order. We keep a record of every batch, and we want the same standard for our people. You'll report to the Managing Director.

What you'll do

• Run hiring for factory, quality and office roles: job posts, screening, interviews, offers
• Onboard new joiners: contracts, IDs, health certificates for food handlers, induction and house-rules sign-off
• Register employees for social insurance and keep registrations up to date
• Track attendance, leave and overtime, and prepare monthly payroll inputs
• Keep complete personnel files and training records, ready for any inspection or audit
• Organise hygiene and safety training with the Quality and Production teams
• Be the first point of contact for employee questions, and help keep the workplace fair and respectful
• Help write our first HR policies, job descriptions and org chart as the team grows

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Law or a related field
• 1–3 years of HR experience, ideally in a factory or FMCG setting
• Working knowledge of Egyptian labour law and social insurance procedures
• Organised, discreet and comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
• Fluent Arabic; good written English
• Able to commute to the 10th of Ramadan daily

Nice to have

• Experience with an HR or payroll system
• Experience hiring blue-collar and shift workers
